A container’s journey in 1 minute - from booking to delivery

1. Receiving your booking

First of all, you will get in contact with our Sales Department or Customer Service Department. The department receives your booking and assists you in finding the best Evergreen Service available for your cargo. Depending on your needs, you might want to add inland haulage to your transport solution.

2. Checking equipment  availability

Our Customer Service Department or Equipment Department, makes sure to find the right container type for your goods, whether it is a container for Dry Cargo or Reefer Cargo, depending on if it’s foodstuff, furniture, machinery or waste products that will be shipped.

3. Checking space availability

We also check space availability on the vessel, and possible connecting feeder vessels, depending on the final destination of the cargo. We provide a comprehensive feeder network reaching into hundreds of minor ports around the world.

4. Booking a truck to load your cargo

We book a truck to make sure your cargo can be picked up, stuffed into a container and transported back to the terminal. We confirm the booking with you.

5. Loading your container

An empty container is picked up at the container depot at the sea port or from an inland depot. A truck deliver the empty container to your warehouse or factory, where the container is loaded with your cargo.

6. Sealing and returning the container to the sea port

Your container is sealed with a High Security Seal to ensure that no one opens the container until it has reached its final destination. Your loaded container is transported to the vessel terminal at the sea port.

7. Loading your cargo onto feeder vessel

Your container is loaded onto the feeder vessel by the terminal operator at the sea port.

8. Goodbye, and safe journey to the destination port

The feeder vessel takes your container to a major transshipment port such as, for example Hamburg, Rotterdam or Bremerhaven, where larger container vessels depart. It means that your container will be unloaded from the vessel and stowed in the waitingarea at the port. It waits for the next vessel, and when it arrives, the container will be transshipped to a larger mothervessel that will take your container further on its journey to reach the final destination.

A privilege to give back to the society

One of our ambitions as a company is always to give back to the society. And we do it because we care about things outside our own industry. One of many projects that goes to our hearts is Barngolfen – a fundraising project to support ill children.

Charity golf to raise money for Queen Silvia Children’s Hospital

Greencarrier is involved in Barngolfen (The Children’s Golf) in Gothenburg, Sweden. We have been proud participants and sponsor of Barngolfen previous years, and this year was no exception.

Barngolfen is the largest charity golf in the Nordic countries with a fundraising purpose for the children’s hospital, Drottning Silvias Barnsjukhus in Gothenburg, Sweden. The money raised is used for making life easier for the children, and to foster the recovery by creating a healing environment and meaningful moments. We are very proud to be a part of the golf tournament and to help these children, who often spend a long time in the hospital.

Raising money together with celebrities and golf pros

This golf day, many celebrities and golf professionals together with companies play Barngolfen. For Greencarrier, Björn Eklund, Stefan Björk and Maja Woytowicz played together with the Swedish golf professional Magnus Wallin and the Swedish well known radio profile Ingemar Allén. They did a really good job and came in with a 4th place this year.

Last year, the golf tournament raised almost 2.8 MSEK, which was, again, the best fundraising amount in the history for Barngolfen. This year, we reached the result 3,5 MSEK in total which we are very happy to be part of!

Greencarrier Liner Agency won Line of the Year 2015

At Greencarrier Liner Agency, we always strive to deliver high-quality services and solutions to our partners, and the cooperation with Sonora is no exception. We are very proud to receive their Line of the Year 2015 award, proving that our hard work really pays off. We are now more eager than ever to continue to deliver high-quality transport solutions to our customers.

A successful partnership between Sonora and Greencarrier Liner Agency

Sonora is a freight forwarding and logistics company, operating in the Baltic States. The company has been offering safe freight delivery for more than 15 years, transporting to destinations worldwide. Ever since the Latvian company started, Sonora and Greencarrier Liner Agency have had a successful partnership. “A successful cooperation with a reliable partner not only helps facilitate daily activities, but also develop business and growth in both ways”, says Normunds Volbets, Director of Business Development at Sonora.

Line of the Year 2015 acknowledges sea lines that maintain a high-quality transport

The award was created to acknowledge sea lines that maintain a high-quality in transport. To wind up the year of 2015, Sonora handed out the special award Line of the Year 2015, which is the beginning of a great annual tradition. It was decided that, as the first prizewinner, Line of the Year 2015 belonged to Greencarrier Liner Agency as agent for Evergreen Line. The award went to the best and most successful sea line that had cooperated with Sonora during the year. According to Sonora, “Greencarrier Liner Agency stood out from the other competitors due to its united and reliable team, and its interest in offering qualitative customer service at any time” and “All difficulties and uncertainties were solved in the most successful and fast way by Greencarrier Liner Agency”.

The winner was chosen based on the result from an internal survey

The decision of which company would be the winner of Line of the Year 2015 was based on an in-depth internal survey. The involved participants of the survey were employees of the Booking Department, Customer Service Department and Sales Department at Sonora. A successful long-term cooperation and communication with Sonora for the entire year of 2015, and a quick and operative response to pricing requests and new business opportunities, were a few of the main criteria. Moreover, accurate and operative ways to create, formalise and issue documents for customer service departments, were also prioritised criteria when choosing Line of the Year 2015.

In 2016, a sea line has once again the possibility to win the title The line of Year 2016. The award will go to a sea line that offers advantageous terms and conditions to the players in the transport market. The company also needs to be reliable with a long experience in the transport market. The Sonora-team kindly invites all sea lines to compete and become the best and most qualitative sea line of 2016.
